What to Expect

 

When You Arrive

You will be welcomed by our greeters, and be given a bulletin which will help guide you through the service. Other announcements may be found on the screen projector. A prayer concerns book is available in the narthex before the service so that we might all be able to lift up your joy or concern in prayer.

 

Children's Church

This program is offered every Sunday except the first of the month for children of the age of Kindergarten through 5th grade during the 11:00 service. Following the Children's Message, they are dismissed to meet in the fellowship hall for a more "kid friendly" version of the service. Children are also welcome to stay in both services if they choose.

 

Communion

Weller serves an open communion, where anyone is welcome to join us. It is offered every 1st Sunday of the month.

 

Dress

Appropriate dress for worship is casual to semi-formal to formal. We believe that God wants us to "Come just as we are."

 

Handicap

Weller's sanctuary is handicap accessible. We offer large print hymnals, bibles, lyrics, and a large screen projector. Weller also has hearing assistance equipment available upon request.

 

Safe Sanctuary

Weller UMC is committed to ensuring that all children and youth involved in ministries may participate in an environment of safety and security. We fully participate in the safe sanctuary procedures as outlined by the Baltimore-Washington Conference of the United Methodist Church.
